I have two friends coming today for me to practise portraits on their kids, I have been reading and watching everything I can how to take a natural shot. I am bricking it, only done my mrs and kids upto now, feels kinda odd now I have two volunteers

Try and keep it fun for them and keep talking even when you are behind the camera.

1 lot is 12, 8 and 6, the 2nd lot are 16 and 8. Luckily they know me so Im trying my best to think of something to keep them occupied and interested in the shoot, to the point they forget that they are being photographed.

Get them to see it as a game. Ask them to pretend to be different characters etc. You don't have to shoot them whilst they pretend, but catch them afterwards when they're laughing and off guard. Kids love to make believe
