Post your Brighton workshop images here!

Grendel - I totally agree, but if you could see the mess that was behind Kate - the girls had been painting, so we had an easel, the kitchen table was covered with muck, and no-one had washed up for a week... (since I left for Brighton, it seems...!)
As for your comments about the workshop - that is just the sort of thing I want to know - a hotel by the beach will be better if people bring family and want to go out socialising, but a more single-minded 'workshop week' might be better for learning. Also, given how knackered we all seemed to be, might it be worth trying for one day on, one day off..?

Nah sod the workshop, lets just get pi**ed

Well, you can count me in, then! LOL.

I'm back at home now -- bleary eyed and getting ready to fly out again on Sunday, but what can you do. I'll try to get my film processed and up before I go, but no promises. On Sunday I am doing a publicity shoot in Arkansas complete with a film production studio and assistants (far outside my normal realm) so I have some serious prep work to do as first priority.

Steve, let's definitely get rolling on doing a workshop in Spain. I think it would work out really well.

Ain't nothing like an amazing weekend to charge one up...!
2 more just taken, one of Jessie doing a slight copy of a CJ picture and the other of a Spanish girl at dancing class..

Looks like you lot had a great time and the really good thing is the quality of images being posted. Looks like a great investment (y)

Oh, there's plenty of me in there, tango. Just wish I could have my Denver hair in the UK. I always look like a ratty sheepdog in the damper weather. LOL.

I've only had a few color rolls processed at this point, with a grand total of two workshop images, but I will say I have a hilarious one of Dave (Starrider.) Unfortunately it's probably best not to shock everyone on the forum with the um, creative artwork in our workshop venue. What will you all think of me?! (No comments from you, Steve's-a-pain!)

Good to see you back safe & sound CJ, hope you enjoyed your time in Brighton as much as we all did. :D

I have a few shots were I got a bit carried away and hadnt checked my exposure, so had to pull them back a bit ... such as this one of you CJ (for Tango Charlie & CT) & this one of Daniel.

I have PS'd this one a bit to deepen the shadows, not sure if it's worked or not really :)

Thats a really fab shot of John you got there Paul... really like the comp & processing on this one. (y)

Not really sure what John was looking at the time Dave ... dont know if he was part of the same converstion as Bev was having!

lmao at that one Glo

I'd actually positioned a menu on the table in front of John and asked him to look at it, I was trying to get a distant stare kind of look. It wasn't really working so I just said "imagine Claudia Schiffer drizzled in chocolate sauce is on the menu" ;) And there you have his reaction :D

Well done all of you - some fantastic pictures there (y)(y)(y)

Glo had do you manage to either take a picture or type with those beautiful stiletto nails ?????

AND as I have said to Glo before - she is one beautiful lady :D good to see others agree :D

Non needed,
What could I say that you have'nt already...... ?

OK I am going to start a new thread about a workshop in Spain in Talk Photography to see what if any interest and ideas there might be before I start to look for locations/hotels.
Please give me any input that is relevant to you are what you want - so far the only comment was to concentrate of photography, rather than bring along family. I feel that given how exhausted I was after 2 days in CJ's company, that a 3 day workshop over 4 or 5 days might allow a little more to sink in, and give a day putting into practise what was learnt the day before might be a good idea - what do you say ?
If this works, then I really hope that I get to meet a whole load of the Brighton Bunch again - many of whom I hardly spoke to, but who were without exception, lovely people !

Steve

I agree Steve, 3 day workshop spread over 4/5 days would work well. As you said, more time for it all to sink in

Something a bit more unusual ;) I love the way the light works in this shot

wow i wondered what you looked like

and if thats a bad hair day you'll have to share with us what your Denver hair's like :D

I am simply gutted that I was banned by the wife from this event. She is officially an idiot (but dont tell her I said that) ;)

All your photos look amazing.

Are you serious about not doing any more CJ? I get the impression that you wont be easily persuaded....

To come back to the UK

Bristol maybe

next week

;)

Hi sorry still haven't posted any pics yet been having to work late and meant to be revising for some exams although can't get in the mood for revising  My queen style pic is ok but I need help with processing it in black and white so i need to speak nice to Paul :naughty:

Hopefully will have some pics ready soon.

Everyone else's pics are really good (y)
Really like the ones of Paul and myself from InaGlo :D

Had a really good day and was great to meet everyone.

A big thanks to CJ I learnt so much (y)

VERY nice images, everyone. There are some in there that are seriously well done.

I still haven't had time to finish processing my B&W, but I hope to later today. Keep in mind, though, that when I teach, I rarely shoot very much as I'm needed for other things. ;)

I'm happy to confirm that I AM planning to come out of retirement for a Spain workshop, provided we have enough interest. It looks like we may be able to stretch the format a bit to allow for more hands-on work, more assignments, and (most importantly) more retention of the information we cover. I'm a big believer in bang for the buck, so I will stuff your head with at times more information than you can process all at once.

I will be creating a page on my workshop website shortly so anyone interested in a spring Spain workshop can register their interest.

Just now starting to look at the few Brighton shots I took. I was kinda busy teaching and passing around my camera, so I didn't shot much.

Dave cracks me up. LOL.
