The usual list is something like this but not limited what you see. I have been looking for a few months and these are the ones I have come up with by looking at what others do.

putting on makeup bride and bridesmaids
dress hanging over a door or chair ready to be put on
dress being zipped laced up
close up of shoes and flowers
silhouette in front of a big window
finishing touches to the bride by someone usually the brides mother. putting on a necklace or something like that
Bride inspecting herself in a mirror
bride embracing her parents
bride leaving for the wedding

You can do a few similar shots for the groom also
sorting his tie out
checking himself out in a mirror
putting the button hole on
hugging mum and dad

I know its easy to just say search for it yourself especially when wedding photography is a thing that is seen as a little elitist in the photography world. They can charge a fortune for what they do because they know what they are doing it is a high pressure thing no going back one take only if you screw it up your screwed as well.

Part of the mentality is that those who don't have a clue having a go for mates type of thing is seen as taking money out of the pockets of the guys who know what they are doing, but that is the same in any business full blown companies with 10 staff never like the one man band coming in doing the a similar thing for a lot less as he has no overheads. I have taken work from a few local IT companies as I can work for less due to reduced running costs.

The wedding I'm doing is my dad's mate who was going to give disposables out to family to take photos, his fiancé pointed it out I have a camera and it went from there, I'm bricking it I have tried to put them off 4 times now and they just keep saying it will be ok. I have read anytihng and everything I have found and it just makes it worse, but I then think Im a better alternative to uncle jim armed with a disposable or family digital cameras.

I think you missed the word 'Pre' in the OP's post m8 - he's not asking about shooting the Wedding but a shoot beforehand :D

As ..MD.. says - find Spxxxx & Hacker for ideas

Oh - and I don't currently offer this to my couples, may well be doing in 2010 though

I have a wedding in early Feb, the couple asked me to take a pre-wedding portrait of them in the great outdoors that depicted a winter wedding. I was glad we had a lot of snow recently..........:D
