I recently purchased a lens from a 2nd hand dealer that is held in high regards. The lens was listed in mint condition. What I received was nowhere near mint. I phoned them and they asked for photos which I sent. They acknowledged that it shouldn't have been listed as mint and offered an 8% discount or to return.
I opted to return, and was ensured that the return postage would be refunded. The refund has subsequently gone through, but they didn't refund the postage as promised and no mention of it in their email either.
Although I like this vendor, have used them in the past and have even been known to recommend them I am seriously reconsidering them for future purchases. I won't mention their name, but there won't be many on here that haven't heard of them. Hopefully this is a single event and that they get their act together. I certainly won't be using them again until I hear some fresh positive reviews about them.
I am usually quite tolerant of mistakes like this, but with 2 so far, if they don't refund the postage promptly then 3 strikes and they are out...permanently.

perhaps given the numerous copies of stock they have that the wrong one could get sent to the buyer on occasion.
