a few days ago it was hovering around the £900 mark. The irony is the front page of the Jessops site boasts of "Many price cuts"
Does it cost more to make cameras now? Don't see why the cost of cameras is going up yet other electronics seem to be fine...
All to do with the weakness of the Pound to the Dollar.
Suddenly second hand D300's going for £900 on eBay aren't as laughable as they were... okay, they still are!
I don't know the answer to this, but generally are other Japanese goods going up?
ie Playstations, HiFi - that sort of thing.
Even when the currency was strong we still often got the **** end of the stick pricewise anyhow...
D300 now £999 at WE too! Glad I got my order in!
Do they have to honour that order, or can they cancel it and ask you to pay the new price
I've been watching the prices of the Canon 100 - 400 IS L Series lens recently, and in the last 2 weeks the price has increased from £953.99 to £1049.99.
<Sigh>... looks like i'm waiting a bit longer.
I received an 'out of stock' email, so I assume they will honour it.
