Print square format images on A4 help....

Set the dimensions in the crop tool, and then use the print settings to centre & fit image to page or if you are having them printed tell them what you want.

You can create a blank page in photoshop and then draw a square in the centre of the page and fill it with black. Select the black using the magic wand and then open your other image. Select the other image and copy it, then go back to the black sqaure, right-click and paste into selection I think it's called. You're image will only appear inside the selection area then. Just make sure that your photo and the new blank page have the same DPI other wise you will need to stretch the photo once it is inside the selected area and the interpolation at that point isn't as clever as when you resample the image.

You could just open your picture, then open a new blank A4 document. Go back to your pic and press Ctrl+A to select all of it then Ctrl+C to copy it. Then go to your A4 then press Ctrl+V to past it on to the A4, if it is too small or too bit then Ctrl+T to resize it to what ever size you wnat it to be. You can move it about to get it central then merge or flatten it, job done. Sounds long winded but once you have done it a couple of times is becomes very easy indeed.

I would crop your picture to the size you need

210mm x 210mm at 300DPI

you can then change the canvas size in PS (overall size)

change it to mm and change the document from 210 x 210 to 210 x 297, bingo
