Printer problem

I have a Brother DCP-350c. One of the colour cartridges is totally empty, and will be changed shortly, but I have a couple of letters that need printing and it won't even let me print black and white. Is there a work-around for this? Or am I just going to have to wait for a new cart?
 
i HAVE THE dpc 750 cw and the way around it is with a bit of masking tape on the little window thing ........... fools it into thinking you have a full cartridge

lmao, you're joking, right? With LC1000 carts?

Where's that tape gone...

LOL...... front of cartridge there are two holes that are windows..............just above the ink outlet, stick tape over them, dont worry the tape will get punctured but its part of the ploy to fool the printer..........works for me every time lol
 
Managed to print what I needed. Got it working and it's told me my other 2 colour carts are near empty lol, oh well. I've not used the printer in ages because of the ink problem (kept forgetting to reorder) then ended up putting it on my wardrobe and doing all my printing in work lol.

you can just buy ink for it too, all you need do is drill a small hole in the top of each cartridge and pur some ink in .......just make sure the drill dont do any damage to the side.........job done and a saving of about 60 quid:thumbs:


PM me for details on how to do it right as its a bit hit n miss with brother cartridges and its legal to do too..............£7 for all the inks or £60 for the full set:thinking:..............£7 sounds goog for me :lol:
 
I'm a grotty compatibles user :lol: I only pay £20 for 10 carts. It's not that good a printer so all my photo printing gets done by DS Colour anyway :D
 
Brother seem to have a reputation as a "Sewing machine manufacturer".....take one of there mid ranged printers and do a comparison against a top range Epson,Canon or HP printer and I will guarantee the top result is Brother................they just dont seen to advertise it
 
I have to say that when I first got it and tried photo printing with the Innobella inks I was pretty impressed, but the carts don't last that long, and I prefer 'real' lab prints over inkjet anyway, just a preference thing really.
