Evenin' all :)

I would like some advice please...

I'm in an exhibition at my college and I'm gonna be running a through prints through tesco (would rather do it properly but its very last mintue) most likely going to be 16x20" canvas. I've got to do a bit of resizing of the images... and was just wondering which file format is it best to save in if I'm to print? and which holds the best quality?

Thanks in advance :D

P.s if anybody has had some printing done at tesco and would care to share how the print quality was, that would be grand too ;)

You're going to have to save as jpg for printing at tesco (or any other high street print shop). Just go for the maximum quality your software will save at.

Try not to edit jpgs that have already been edited and saved as they will already have lost detail.

Never used Teso for printing so can't offer any opinions on quality, sorry.

Good luck with the exhibition, BTW :-)

If the canvas is 16x20" should i crop it at that size or add another inch or so on?

Take a look on www.snapmad.com got a 24x20 canvas for £19.99 and the quality's fine!

They also tell you how much of the image will be wrapped around the edges of the canvas so you can allow for this.

never printed canvas but poster prints are good from tescos, they use the same printers as my local pro print lab in the city, but cheaper
