Printing RAW files

I am unable to use a pc at the moment I have a few photos ready to be printed, I was wondering if max spielman or boots etc can print RAW files?

you need to make a jpeg or tif for printing

As AWP says you need to convert te raw file. None of the labs I know can print RAW. You would need to have access to both the RAW and sidecar file that holds your edits.

On my D90 I can convert a raw to a jpg in camera (Retouch menu > NEF processing). I'm pretty sure your D300s can do the same.

Do any of the labs support PictBridge? I would have thought that this is the most 'transportable' method?

I once gave a lab (in the US) some canon raws on a CF card and they managed it. It may be worthwhile, if you cannot get a positive response here, just going round a couple in person, card in hand.

Sounds about right, depends on the quality of the conversion, jpeg/tiff.

My 12MP Jpegs in Fine are around 3 to 4 MB.

Yes that's about right: you can still get a decent A3 print from a 1.5Mb file so I wouldn't worry too much.

I had not noticed the file size in the past, perhaps it was because I was familiar with lightroom doing all the work.
