Hey :)

Im sure this gets asked 2190382127834890324 times a day but the opinions are so conflicting I need a proper answer

The sort of prints I want are going to be A3/A4 with lots of high contrasts. White needs to be white and black black. The last few photo box orders have all been very "Grey" even after calibrating my monitor.
(It seems I'm not the only one with poor reviews of photobox over the internet)

Help :P

photobox suck in a big way. we use loxley but we have 2 desaturate by 5% to get it to match r screen.

with loxley we still have complaints, 3 different sizes of the same print where 3 different colours, white r yellows some times . yellow ish photo paper, and delivery times can b a nightmare.

if u find a good printer, let me know.cheers.

You could try DSCL (DSColourLabs) Based in Manchester and I've had some lovely stuff from them. The only difficulty I've had is not getting the sizing right because they don't check before sending it back so I've had a few heads lopped off. To be fair thay have been my problem rather than theirs. Had some 3ft wide prints done there too and they have been great. The metallic paper is also stunning.

Why am I finding Loxley & Peak imaging websites so awkward? The one thing in plus for photobox is at least its as simple as upload, choose size and click buy...

Loxely, you just need to set up the 'roes' software and it works great :) Dsc has some similar software.

Sam's photo lab is also pretty highly rated, cheaper in some ways than loxely too iirc... :)

Another vote for DCSL in Manchester. Stunning prints, never had a problem with colours etc. No problems with delivery and I use them on a regular basis. As Bouncy says the metallic paper is absolutely superb !

DCSL it is :)

Well I've just ordered 6 - 16x12" shots so lets see how they come out :)

By an A3 printer and get a custom profile. Problem solved :)
