I've just burned a number of jpgs to cd and dvd and there are no problems with playing the discs and viewing the images on other computers. Out of curiosity I tried to play the discs in the dvd player attached to my tv and the message 'disc cannot be read' comes up. I'm sure I've done this before without a problem so I'm wondering what I've done wrong.

Thanks for quick reply.
The players (2 of them ) are about 3 years old
Its a new burner on a new computer running vista 64 bit. I just used the microsoft software to burn the disc.
A disc of images transferred to disc at Asda plays fine

Did you burn it as a "slideshow" or as seperate jpeg files, DVD players wont read seperate files, try burning again in windows movie maker or as a sllideshow.

Try ISO Level 1, Mode 1, ISO 9660, Joliet disabled. If your software won't allow those options, try something better. InfraRecorder is freeware.

DVD players wont read separate files

Mine do.

The original files were individual data files. Just tried movie maker - same result.

Photon, I was only using the basic microsoft software, may have to try something else.

I've just tried a cd from a few years ago and that plays fine and the files are individual files not a slideshow etc.

Downloaded the trial of Nero and thats worked fine. Images viewable on every device I've put the CD in. I suppose I'll have to buy it :(

I did try Infrarecorder but not even my pc recognised the disc let alone the tv!
Probably me, it is getting late
