i'd love to give my new 24-70 a bit of a proper work out, and get out early one morning and photograph a pumpkin field with the mist at sunrise gently blurring into the background.

i guess they haven't harvested them yet for halloween, but does anybody know if there are any pumpkin fields in the east?

i've tried google and not really found anything of use.

anybody know of any?

I haven't been out that way recently, but last year I'm sure I saw a field of pumpkins near Outwell or Wisbech.

There's a bit of a smallholding just off the A10 north of the Littleport roundabout, it usually has a strip of everything. I haven't really looked this year. Might be worth a drive round the Fens from Littleport, across to Wisbech and around Emneth, etc. Alternatively check out local allotments, pumpkins are quite common now. Lifted my crop yesterday as the wet weather rots the stems back into the fruit.

There are some in Holt, just down the road from the landfill site.

Most of the commercial fields lifted the crop about a week before the original post.. there was a shot in the paper the day after my reply showing several tens of thousands of pumpkins curing in a greenhouse "somewhere in Norfolk".
