Question 1
I put mine on here, but I have watched a you tube video in which the presenter said if your going to enter a competition do not put your work on line .
Apparently if its on line the judge may have seen it and will not be moved when he or she sees it again.

Question 2
I live on/ near a country estate, which is mostly open to dog walkers and such.
If I take my camera in to the estate, is that breaking any rules as it it private but open to the locals who wish to walk within it.
There is a private area which has a no entry sign, but no one but the Laird and his family go in there.

Question 2 - Check for any conditions of entry, if it's private the owner may have set conditions.

I live on a private estate, although it's not open to the public, it does have public footpaths and a bridleway running through it. So maybe check if that's the case on the estate you use. If you feel that you shouldn't be using your camera on their land, use the public footpaths, you're entitled to is your camera from them.
On your first point, the likelihood of a judge seeing your photo online is very slim and even slimmer of them to remember it.
