I'm about to take delivery of a Dell UltraSharp QHD monitor (UP2716D) and I'm keen to get the best out it.
The PC baseboard has on-board graphics,with a modest Nvidia HD2000 chip-set and a
hdmi connector. The CPU is an Intel i3, with 8GB RAM.
Will this be sufficient to get the best performance from the monitor, or would I be better of getting a new video card?
The PC is used for LR and Photoshop etc. no gaming, so I don't need a high end graphics card, but I wonder if £100 spent on a graphics card would be a good buy?
Is there any advantage in using a Display Port connection compared to HDMI?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
