Hi Guys/Gals,

No this is not a standard wedding thread !!! so please try not to drift of topic.

I am in the process of completing a course and the next assignment I have is to draw up a list of questions to ask potential clients.
I have already the usual stuff, date time venue etc dress style, clour theme is any.

What I would like is anything you think is vital to ask that I may have missed ??
I have searched on here and on google, but they all turn into "what to ask your wedding tog !!!!" :bang:

Cheers

Ade :)

how many guests(big wedding or small wedding?)
have they any particular ideas on the style of photography they would like. ?(very traditional with a lot of group shots, or very "reportage" i hate that word.or somewhere inbetween. lots of sepia /black and white, or vibrant colours etc?)

any parents deceased/divorced, step parents. anyone not like anyone else.?

With out doing all of the work for you:)
One question I would lie to ask is about Close family you never know now a days
Mother and Father, any one of them might not be there it might be Step Father and Father might be there as well.
Just one thing you need to know don’t wish to upset anyone on this special day

contact telephone numbers (as many as possible)
How many parents
any disabilities
special photo requests
wedding suppliers

cheers guys,

some good suggestions there, some that hadnt even entered my head (disabilities, parents )
I will add them to the list, I just want to be sure I have covered all the bases that a pro tog would ask, and not being in the business its a help :)

Cheers

Ask them to tell close friends/family to get in touch if they are any surprises planned for the wedding - I had a wedding last year where the family arranged a horse and carriage ride that lasted an hour after the wedding - right when I should have been taking photos

lol......thats an excellent point
nothing like a good surprise to catch everyone out !!!

Have they been married before?

Time they want you to start and location. (Often hours before the ceremony). I sometimes start in the hairdressers! Any special religious moments to look out for. Contact details of the person conducting the ceremony.
How many bridesmaids and best men/ushers. How many children on the day and sometimes the B&G have kids and they want lots of pics of them too.
Any videographers? So I can get to the venue and check in with them to make sure we run it smoothly.

cheers for all the help guys, I think I have enough now to make the questionaire and it has certainly opened my eyes to what questions I should ask

Cheers
