Hi could someone other than my wife have a quick look at my website and let me know if it's ok? And do you think it's missing anything? Cheers for all help

If your selling a service from a WORLD WIDE website then one of the first thing a potential customer should know is where on this planet you are ? I had to got to SERVICES to find CONTACT and then you have to unzoom a map just to find out your in England...

You need somethign in your face on the front page that lets people know somehting about your location :)

PS thats the scruffiest looking menu system I ahve seen... soory ...

I have to agree...the menu system is not the best...it's an absolute nightmare to negotiate!

Also, some inconsistencies on the site...they book a studio shoot or they book a home shoot...they get the same information relating to your studio.

Methinks it needs a bit of work to get it workable.

Dont have to look at it to comment :)

Errors and warnings, not too bad but should be fixed.

Then I looked, the menu system is rubbish and looks rubbish. What is up with the small print within the normal sized sentences, it hurts eyes and goes against accessibility standards. Why use a gmail email when you have your own domain? The title of the website just states Welcome. how should people with a multi tabbed browser know which is your? There are no alt tags on the photos, against goes against accessibility standards. Why are you providing free advertising to another company? The side graphics column take up way to much space, look at prices there is just text text text in a very narrow column just because one silly clipart image, also you need a table in your price it is impossible to read whats in there....And that is just home and prices/packages page, I cant bare to look at anything else for free.

I agree with all of the above:

I'll reiterate what I feel is the most important; Location, in your titles and articles, otherwise neither google nor your customers can find you.

And I'm guessing all the slideshows are flash, because I didn't see anything on the ipad.

The babies face on the splash page -the eyes aren't sharp, it may be a resizing issue and that the original was perfect, but for me all the beautiful lighting and cute expression are lost when the eyes aren't sharp.

I know that many people complain that there are too many websites looking too similar, but there's loads of reasons to recommend Wordpress sites;

Easy to build
Create easy to navigate sites
Helping hand to ensure important SEO details are done right.
Quick and easy to update (from anywhere with a web browser)

Before you start the complete redesign, do a brainstorm to work out the purpose of the site. This will then give you the bare bones of what it is you need to create.

wow guys/gals thanks for the feedback damn! think i'll have a cry and a coffee then look into the above, (puts the noose back into the shed) ;-)

Defo need to put location (school boy error thanks for the heads up)

Email address now changed ;-)

Slideshows play by clicking text and then it takes you to youtube as music is copyrighted and would not play direct through my site.

All text same size, studio and home shoot info corrected & ads for other websites removed.

one thing with the navigation/menu whats so bad about it? to many drop down options? or just lay out?

thanks for all feedback guys/girls appreciated

The layout is most definitely not good, the menu options at the top level are not aligned. But then also drop down menus are about 10 years out of fashion like that. And I you must than the top menu of the option should refer to a page on which the the sub menus can be linked. Or have the menu auto expand.

It just looks very dated as it is.
