I took some photos last night in only RAW format. I can see them on the back of my camera, but when I come to upload them I can see file thumbnails, but when I press get pictures, it says there are no pictures to upload?
Any ideas?

Have you tried going into "my computer" and dragging them onto your hard drive?
 
If you right click on the folder in my computer and check the properties, does it say there is anything there?
 
Even when youi shoot RAW, the image displayed on the camera screen is a jpeg.

I meant does it show that there are any files in the folder at all or that any of the free space has been used?

Remember,you'll need a programme that can read Canon raw (not RAW) files before you can view the images on your pc.
 
will it not let you drag them from the camera to your HDD ?
btw you might want to get yourself a card reader.
I take it you have the correct version of DPP for your camera ?

I thought the free software that come with the camera could do this?
Or should i download one?
 
DPP should download from a 400D easily enough. Try re-installing DPP. It could be a communication problem with the camera - I'd go for a card reader every time.
