Re-sticking rubber lens zoom grip?

Hi all, I got a problem...

The rubber grip that surrounds the zoom collar on my Nikon 80-200 f2.8 AFD has come totally loose. Any ideas how I might be able to re-stick it? I've read you can use either double sided tape or solvent free glue... anyone actually tried one of these?

Any help much appreciated!

I've never tried it, but I'd be inclined to try double sided sticky tape first, just as I wouldn't want liquid glue near moving parts. If you do find you have to glue it, perhaps use a thick glue that you paint on with a brush? I can't think of the name of the stuff, but its kind of yellow and looks like grease, it bonds well with rubber without melting it etc.
 
You could try putting a rubber band (or two) under the grip to take up the slack in the grip.

Alternatively you could try to get a new one from Nikon - they're not that expensive.
