I hate this question that always gets asked on job application forms.

What should I put if I've been sacked ?

Potential employer does not have to know you were sacked. Saying you left to further your career is not a bad one if you are looking in the same field. If you are changing direction then put that. As long as you were not sacked for anything dodgy (stealing, serious breach of company policy) then you do not have to declare it at all.

"Boss caught me with his wife and daughter when he came back early from a business trip ?"

No, maybe not then... How about "I found that their inferior minds were no match for my far superior intellect ?"

Thanks chaps, Change of directions sounds like a good un !!

It was a long time ago and I dont they'd look back that far into my history anyway...

What did you get sacked for?

I was accused of stealing money from the office.

About 2 months later it was found out that it was the manager who was doin the stealing.

I was to naive to follow it up, I prolly could have made a nice claim, hey ho..
