Does anyone know what the criteria is for being featured on Red Bubble? I joined 2 days ago and added a few images. One image was getting lots of views but others getting none which I couldn't understand. I've just discovered my image is on the featured page.

I just wonder how they find images that they feature? Is it dependent on views or comments as I don't have anywhere near as many views as some of the other work?

Here's the link, it's the glasswing butterfly on the orange flower, I don't even think it's that great an image (bit soft and out of focus)..

(Not looking for c&c though, i'm really just playing with the camera for now)
 
I think it's purely at the admins discretion. They find stuff and just feature it - I had one of my t-shorts featured, as did a mate with one of his, and we just got an e-mail saying congrats and here's where you need to look to fin the featured work. It's a nice feeling being on the homepage :)
 
That's weird, I didn't get an email. It was my husband that suggested it might be featured when it got 90 hits and my other pics only got a handful of views.

Very pleased though.
 
One of my first images I put on there was featured as well, but none since. My conclusion was that every new acount gets one of it's images "featured" as standard, then after that it's just luck (and exceptional photos) that get you featured again.

Yeah, same happened for me just after I joined I had one featured on the 'Art' page, then a few weeks later I had another featured on the homepage but I think that was just because they wanted to do a front page with snails and I'd just posted one - not a particularly good one in my opinion - so just luck I guess.
 
Best way to get featured is to join the groups, then you will get featured within them if yours is chosen. As mentioned above your picture has to fit a theme to get on the homepage depends what they are displaying that day. Hope that helps :wave:
