Redirected away from websites I visit?

I've been having a bit of trouble with facebook recently. Initially when I tried to go to www.facebook.com I'd be redirected to DeviantArt. This stopped following a suggestion to visit a slightly different facebook URL. Fearing a malware infection I scanned my computer with iAntiVirus and found nothing, although I have since been unable to update that antivirus programme (this may be coincidence, maybe not). I've also tried scanning with ClamXav which I downloaded and updated following the problem and that too found nothing. Having been able to access facebook fine for 2 days I'm now being redirected from facebook to http://labs.ideeinc.com/ but can access facebook from more specific URL links. This has been happening with both Safari and Firefox.

I'm concerned I may have a virus but 3 virus searches (i've also used AVG on my windows partition) have all found nothing. Any ideas about what's causing problems?

I've done a search on google but all references I've found cover the Windows operating system and not Snow Leopard.

I'm using a Mac running Snow Leapord and also have a BootCamp partition running Windows 7.

Does it happen with other machines on the same connection? Or with your Mac on a different connection?

I would recommend SpyBot and AdAware.

Download them both and run both. They are probably the best software for spyware/Adware etc.
I had the same problem as you a few months ago which got sorted after running these two scanners. Found loads of Adware.

To those above recommending SpyBot and AdAware, the OP has stated he's running Snow Leopard when affected, so no sense recomending Windows apps ;)

To the OP

Q1. Does this only happen when booted into OS X?

Q2. Have you changed your broadband provider recently?

Q3. Does this happen on other network connections?

Q4. Wired and Wireless or just one?

If it's just OSX, check your DNS entries, and flush the cache by opening Terminal and pasting this in

dscacheutil -flushcache

then hit return

I tried running malware bytes several times both on normal start up and in safe mode and windows would present a blue screen saying it had closed down to protect the system. This would always happen but at different points in the scan.

Q1. - The problem is limited to OS X
Q2, 3 & 4. - The problem began when away on holiday using their wireless.

I downloaded MacScan and that too found no virus' but did find 62 tracking cookies which it deleted and the redirection has since stopped. I've now returned home from holiday so back on my usual wireless connection and continue to be problem free. Do I assume I'm safe or is there more I should do?

Edit: iAntiVirus now tells me that my version is up to date rather than the failure to connect notification I was getting previously. Another positive sign.
