Reflections

Hi all,
I came across a small roadside puddle that was attracting a few birds this morning and, even though they were all common birds, I couldn't resist firing off a few shots.

1. Cock Linnet

2. Meadow Pipit

3. Juvenile Pied Wagtail

4. Juvenile Swallow

These are lovely shots I wish I could get mine to be better colour balanced as yours are, I seem to struggle with sharpness as well.

nice set of reflections although the comp is wrong(for me anyway) in number two to much space on the right not enough on the left

Like the idea of uasing the reflections but as said no.2 is all wrong for composition purposes and i would like to have seen a tad more head room on number 1.

Forgive me for being a bit bemused by the "rules" I understand many comments on this site but...............
I post some of my pics & see many other members posts with comments like “bit more room to look into” “wrong composition” etc. :shrug:

Where are the rules?

Surely photography is a bit like beauty “in the eye of the beholder”

I think they'd work better with a bit more room to the top too, nice shots otherwise though, especially the swallow
