Hi guys, i just bought new camera about week ago or so. Start learning it and love it :D Im trying to save some money at the moment to buy better lens soon. However i need remote trigger, what the different between expensive canon one and ebay cheap one? Would cheap one can damaged to camera?

Cheers :)

Dought it! I have used one of the HK ones on my 350d for a long time without ANY probs!

Just ordered one myself from the bay for £3.49. Will let you know when it arrives.

THIS is the one I bought, will fit your camera too. It is wireless if you use both units, or wired if you use one. Best of both worlds! Should last if treated reasonably!

I've only just bought it less than an hour ago. It's coming from china so I'd expect 7 days at least.

i got 1 from amazon,£5 3meter cable single shot or locks for bulb setting, worth a look!
no probs with my sony.

Got one form Link-Delight on ebay for the nikon (wired with timer etc.) they also do wireless ones which look interesting.

Mine works fine and cost next to nothing compared to the nikon one and does more than the IR remote.

Not knowing what Canon remote you will need but give these a try UK-Highland they're on ebay as well as Amazon - I've used them in the past & they usually deliver next day....

I paid less than a fiver for a remote for my 450 D from eBay, it was a while ago so I can't tell you the seller details but it came from HK and it worked fine. I haven't used it much so I'm glad I didn't pay too much for it.

Mine was for a Nikon not Canon & it was the YN-126 or YN-128 wireless remote - works everytime so far & quite a distance away too.....

There is this little remote for a fiver delivered (additional battery inc) "RC-5" plus they're from the UK....

That bloody good! Would i need something else to get it work or just that remote and everything work?

Mine has the 10pin terminal connector and the receiver fits on top of the camera (where the flash goes) & comes with a remote (looks like an action man walkie talkie)... I haven't a clue with a Canon thou as like I said I've a Nikon..

Just plug it in..... "Viola"

but found this one which is the Canon version from UK highland but its £25 del.. "Canon YN126"

Im after one for canon 400D, Link-Delight is no longer used on ebay...."0 Shops found with items matching Link-Delight"

Hi
Maybe you are using a different Ebay !!! (LOL)
Try: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/link-delight/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25

827 different items listed, I have used several times with no problems.
I believe the limit for no import charges is £28.00 perhaps someone can confirm. As most items are less I usually put in several orders separately.
However nothing paid on £69.00 so maybe that has changed or I was lucky.

Item number is not working :shake: Wont you have to pay fee to postman for oversea fee?

Sorry, I mistyped the number.... it's

110357368614

And you're ok with anything under £18 iirc

Paypal them as ebay or gift? or its dont matter?

Just purchase them as normal via ebay/paypal (they pay any paypal charges), and it shouldn't matter how they declare it on the shipment as you won't pay tax.

I'll confirm how mine was declared when it arrives if it helps.

Can anyone recommend a good wireless or wired remote with a built in countdown?

I remember seeing it ages ago and can't think what they're called or if there's any good cheap ones (I don't care for quality so long as it works ;) lol).

To better explain it's good for long time lapse videos as you can tell it to take like 50 photos with a gap of 15 seconds inbetween each photo.

You could use the same thing as I'm getting for a few £££ or go for an official Canon wireless one (RC-1 ~ £15 on the bay) and just time the intervals on your watch/phone. If you was going for more than 50 shots you can tether your camera to a laptop and use some software (not tried this myself though)

Well, it arrived today. Nothing to pay for customs due to low price.

Sorry for average photo, but taken 10mins ago in a dim room and too tired after a 14hr shift to get better ones ;)

The trigger does what it is supposed to do (half press for focus, full press to take shot and in bulb mode you can slide the switch to lock it on). It feels ok for the price and the button does feel a little cheap, but hey it was £3.49. I dare say the Canon one is much better on the quality front, but I'm happy with the purchase for the amount of use it will get.

Can say much more really, apart from give it a punt. If you don't like it you're not that much out of pocket.

I have one of these exact same model, I also have a wireless one that cost about a fiver never really used either of them but I am going to start playing soon.

The reason I've got this one is that the other week I took some pics of birds at their nest and could have done with being away from the camera. I have a Canon wireless one but that was no good from behind the camera. So I decided to get one of these and it'll sit in my bag for next time, although I can't see it coming out that often.... hence the cheapo option.

That brill, thank you for reply back when you got it. Have you been testing it? Will defo buy one, I know I only use it like once or twice as month so it's not bother me if it's feel cheap as long it's working :)

I just got a battery grip from HK for my 500d, £30 delivered, no tax to pay and it included a infrared remote with it :-), again qualitys not as good as canon but you wouldnt know it till you had a close look.
