Got a trip 35 from the car boot sale, the apeture blades are not wide open at 2.8.

Was wondering if anyone would recommend a place to send this for servicing!

Might be good to post this in the film section (or get it moved there)

TBH unless it has any kind of sentimental value you're better of just searching for one that is known to be 100% working or have a go yourself.

You can get a re-furbed one from Silverprint http://www.silverprint.co.uk/ProductByGroup.asp?PrGrp=143

By the time you've paid to have it serviced and paid postage both ways even by somebody as reasonable as Miles Whitehead you could have got one cheaper.

It's really not that difficult to do it yourself! I have done two using THESE instructions. You've not much to loose, and the price of the repair if you win!

It may be worth mentioning that even if you select an aperture of 2.8, it won't open all the way unless there's not enough light (it doesn't have a true manual mode). The aperture you select is the widest you want the camera to use, if there's sufficient light it won't necessarily open all the way.
Apologies if the OP was already aware of this.

yeah on some compact camera's the blades dont always open out fully :x
