Repatriation

[willbaroo]

I'm thinking of attending one of the many repatriations in Wooton Basset in the up and comming couple of weeks. This is to pay my respects and to photograph the funeral procession and general goings on.

Is there a certain day it is held on?

I could be wrong but is it every Wednesday or as and when the MOD decide?

There is no set time or day its just as and when, there are an awful lot of people that go to it so taking photos may be a bit of a struggle though there are plenty of people there with cameras, a mate of mine goes out everytime and shoots a few images. Of course the pros are usually there in force, I drove through a couple of weeks ago just before they were due to come through, alwyas have a look to see whats about, and there were two pros opposite the museum with five D3's just left lying about on the floor.
Just keep an ear on the local radio as they usually let people know when the repatrations are going to be.

It's announced on the MoD website as and when required...
