Hopefully I'll be getting a reasonably hefty bonus from work and I'm going to be getting a back up body (model depends on bonus) and replacing my 28-135 for some faster L glass.
I definitely want a 70-200 f/2.8 L (IS or non IS depends on bonus again). I'm then wondering which lens to cover the closer range. I'm thinking 24-70 f/2.8L but are there other options that are better?
Lenses will be used for action photography of dogs and horses, occasionally in poor/variable light conditions. I'll also be using the the 24/70 for some animal portraiture where speed isn't as important but a nice bokeh would be good.
The lenses will be used on my 50D plus the other body which will be at least 50D spec.
I also have Sigma 10-20, Canon 100 macro and 100-400L.
And before anyone asks, yes the 28 - 135 will be going in the classifieds when I've sorted the other gear but don't hold your breath as the bonus is not likely to be paid until late May.
