Anyone else received an email by RGB Technology regarding the EOS 5D MK2? It seems to me like Canon don't like their pricing and are giving them problems! or is this just marketing?

I have and this is it:

Dear Steve

Please disregard this e-mail if you are no longer looking for a Canon EOS 5D Mark II.

Hi

The time is arriving when the 5D Mark 2 is ready for allocation. If you still wish do buy from RGB-tech, we would appreciate your help convincing Canon of your intend to buy from RGB. If you are committed to buy from us, could you please return this e-mail with your name, address and daytime contact number. We will need to forward this information to Canon to prove your intent. This will (hopefully) mean that Canon will favour your commitment and request, above others who simply have their name on the many lists, wanting to get a camera ASAP.

We at RGB want your business now, and in the future, and are doing our very best to propose priority to our customers through Canon. This system will hopefully restore order to a somewhat chaotic need to be the first with an EOS 5D M2.

This e-mail has gone out to all our 5D M2 customers, so please excuse the generic tone. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.

Regards
Graeme

Canon UK are releasing stock to business's with pre order / deposit down on cameras only sadly. As I said the other day, the UK role out has been a bot of a disaster. :'(

Very odd - I'm on their pre-order list and didn't get this mail!

Wouldn't suprise me!

My Amazon.co.uk order is £100 more than RGBTech (plus I get 5% back on my AMEX which I can't use at RGB anyhow)

Either that or the company is having cash flow problems and Canon won't give them credit. They might be after your commitment before they pay up front for the stock
