Competition Categories

■ Plant Portrait Photograph of the Year
Entries in this category can be a single or grouping of the
same plant or flower. Photographs of exotic plants can also
be entered in this category. Entries can be traditional,
contemporary or abstract.
■ Close-Up Photograph of the Year
A photograph of a detail of a plant or flower.
■ Tree or Shrub Photograph of the Year
A photograph of any tree or shrub either in a garden or
in the wild.
■ Garden View Photograph of the Year
A photograph of a garden (clearly identified as public or
private) taken from within the garden or looking into the
garden. The photograph can include plants from the wild,
groups of plants and urban garden scenes.
■ Wildlife in the Garden Photograph of the Year
A photograph of any animal life in a garden. This category
includes birds, mammals, insects etc, but excludes domestic
animals.
■ People in the Garden Photograph of the Year
The main subject of photographs in this category should
represent a person or persons in a garden or horticultural
environment.

Only downside is the £5.00 per pic (£4.00 for RHS members) entry fee. But I guess that helps them fund the competition and any extras go towards the RHS, so a good cause.

I'm gonna have a bash at all catagories I think .

I think I might give this a go. I must be able to find something from the TP meet at Wisley Gardens earlier in the year that would fit a catagory or two. Thanks for the heads up Jo

well, I was going to the botanics tomorow so I might see if I can caputure anything worthy of a competition entry!
