hi, ive noticed some nice old lenses, like the rokkors and the tamron adaptalls. my question is how do these fit, is it m42 mount or whatever?

and do i have to purchase tamron adaptalls as a minolta mount or can it be any mount so long as a have the adapter.

Can't answer on the Rokkors - never seen them! Probably need an MD to MA mount?

I can help on the Adaptall front - you need an Alpha mount version, look for a logo like this (they must have that "Alpha" symbol, otherwise they are MD fit, and no good)

You need an Adaptor that looks like this:

..then you can buy any Adaptall or Adaptall 2 lens.

so if i bought an adaptall to alpha adapter then it will use any one, even the ones designed for canikon

Adaptall lens are not designed with any mount at all - so you won't find a Adaptall Nikon lens - its an Adpatall lens that happens to have a Nikon mount attached (which you can remove and put a Sony one on instead)
