Rough price for a lens service?

Not knowing where to look nor anybody that has had it done im just wondering what would be a typical charge to service/clean a lens? Its a Nikon 70-200 VR. The issues ive got is that the focus ring seems to have a slight tight spot around the 135 mark and focus does seem a bit hit and miss in situations where you wouldnt think it would struggle at all. Im not 100% but I also think there is a bot of dust somewhere inside that only rears its ugly head at 200mm? Where/who would be best?

I called Lehmanns in Stoke on Trent a "Nikon service centre" a couple of weeks ago for a friend who wanted a lens service on his 75-300mm Nikkor in need of a re-lube.
They Qouoted £160 plus parts.
My first call would be to Nikon Uk if I was you I think you may find it will be cheaper from past experiences.
