Over the past few weeks my internet connection keeps failing. This is a home network set up with a Netgear router (approx. 3 years old). So i have 3 pc's sharing the network wirelessly, here's the symptoms;
1. in the router set up, it says it is connected to the internet - no problem. It has an IP address assigned etc..
2. the pc's can't connect to the internet, but they can access shared files between them wirelessly via the home network
3. i have to reboot the router on a daily basis - normally when i get home from work and the kids say 'we can't on the internet again' :bonk:
4. once re-booted it works fine - until the next day!
i'm thinking it could be the router somehow as i've not changed any internet settings at all. Or could it be a dsl filter on one of the phone sockets causing disruption? Or could it my ISP chucking me offline for some reason?
thanks in advance techie people
