A few shots from a recent shoot at Royal Albert Wharf just to the east of the City Airport. It had been raining all night and the wind was from the North so the sky was amazingly clear, makes a change from the usual brown smog.

Cool shoot, Andrew, and great renditions! (y)

I notice, however, some needed pincushion tweaking in
#2 and #3 — that needs some keystoning tweak too.

The Nikon 24mm PC-E shift lens has some minor distortion near the edges that I always struggle to fix. I've found a slight bit of keystoning helps hide the distortion. It looks OK if you can avoid the edges as in shot one but if you have to run to the edge of the frame it is always a problem.

Mine is not affected by such lens distortions! Some softwares
offer a pincushion tool that may be save as lens profile or see
if you can get one from Nikon.

I don't think it's possible to get a lens correction profile for a shift lens as the distortion varies with the amount of shift. If you have the same lens it would be interesting to see some shots where the building fills the frame and you have used a lot of shift. 2, 3, and 4 above were shot close to full shift.

I don't think it's possible…

I borrowed lenses for tests before I bought mines,
the 24 and the 85. The first 85 passed my test but
only the third 24 did.

Like the first one best, Viccy and Albert docks have changed a bit since I was a nipper
