Hi all, just got a S5 Pro, and can't read barely any of the photos, does not matter if they're RAW or JPEG, its extremely frustrating. I'm using a 8gb Kingston Elite Pro x133 that worked fine in a D200.

This is even on the camera, I get read error with atleast half the images.

Yes, I suppose its quite possible the card could be a fake, I've heard of them. Though it seems wierd it worked fine in my D200.

Just don't fancy going out and buying a Sandisk one from the shop when I'm skint till payday from buying the camera.

Kingston cards are rubbish - the S5 Pro doesn't like them. Corrupt images are common with these.

Think I shall beg/borrow/steal an extreme 3 sandisk off my parents then, I'm sure my stepdad uses them in his cameras.

edit : Just found a list of cards various Fuji cameras take, and it looks like they recommend Sandisk Extreme 3.

I've had a Sandisk throw up errors in the S5 before and then be fine the next time, it could just be a very sensitive wee soul :dummy:

I've found the S5 Pro to be picky with Lexar WA cards too (80x and 133x) quite often get "file corrupt" when reviewing the last shot taken.

Sandisk do work fine, as do Transcend.

Just tried a Sandisk Extreme III, went out and took dozens of shots on lunch break, all fine :D

just read this post paul ... sorry to hear you were having problems. I too use genuine UK bought Sandisk cards all the time now andf have no trouble .. glad you got it sorted ! :) enjoy the S5 .. expecially the Fuji film modes ..

Thanks Keith, I was 100% certain it was card not camera so thought I'd ask the forum in general rather than pester you. All is good now, except I can't seem to import anything into lightroom, or even view the files in vista. I see the S5 pro device, then it gives me the choice of live or still, both are empty.

Back to google I go. :D

Still, I really enjoyed hobbling around at lunch time taking pics, had to hobble as bashed my foot last night, just been to docs and he ordered me to a+e, he squeezed my foot and a bone made an audible click  Not good. I'll go tomorrow, Friday in a+e will be hell!

Edit : Shall use the finepix software for that part, kind of puts another step in the work flow but I'll survive.

Sorry to hear about your foot.

Don't bother with Finepix software. Just load your NEF's staight into Lightroom and Bob's your Uncle.

i too never used the Fuji software ... i always imported the image files directly from the camera using Windows explorer into a directory. From there i imported direct into CS3 ..
