As the thread suggests need help to sort this out for my other half ?????????

I thought Samsung phones came with software to support that, but as I don't have a Samsung phone I don't know for certain.

I have an Orange San Francisco and I bought gSyncit to sync Outlook contacts, calendar, tasks and notes to the Google cloud automatically. The phone and Google then take care of their own sync of that data. I bought another copy for my girlfriend to sync her Outlook data with her Motorola Defy, again via the Google cloud.

It does throw the occasional hissy fit, for no apparent reason, but we have not lost data or had any catastrophe. It just needs things exiting and restarting to get it going again. Sometimes Outlook will disable the addin, which does need a bit more hands on to fix, but when it's working, which is most of the time, it requires no human intervention at all. My configuration has a sync initiated in Outlook start, then hourly, and then once more on Outlook exit. I've been running it since last September/October and I'll be sticking with it.

Maybe by now there is a free or better alternative, but that seemed the best fit for my needs nine months ago. Back then it was only $15 a copy.
