Hi all, I'm having a bit of a problem getting this app set up how I want - I wondered if anyone knew of a work around...


I'm running Windows 7 64bit Home Premium, I'm trying to get this app working:

The download includes both 32bit and 64bit - however only the 64bit installs. Now I can get everything working fine, however the problem being the 64bit version is no where near as water tight as the 32bit version, and I want to use the extra security.

The only way around I know, is to download vertual pc, and install xp - and run the XP app version from there in windows 7 - problem being however Microsoft in their great wisdom decided home premium users are not eligable for virtual PC...so thats out for me atleast.

Any ideas?
 
Guess this is a bit of a no go - sounds like its just not very 64bit compatable, what a shame.
 
Have a look at virtualbox instead as a free alternative to Virtual PC. You'll need a copy of XP however to install.

Depending on what you want to use sandboxie for you may not even need it if you do use Virtualbox as well.
 
Im just after something where I can run .exe files that I'm not 100% sure are safe, without risking my system - virtual box be anygood for that?
 
Yeah it should be. :)

The other positive is you can save a snapshot once you set it up and just revert back to it after opening the suspicious file.
