Works quite well for me but I suspect that the issue may be that (for me) the knife (at least) is either "redundant" or the "wrong type" for the subject ?

It was a lovely sunrise on the 5th - but by the time I got anywhere near it with my camera it was fading

No, but the lovely smooth hairless legs are also an attraction. I remember sitting in the front row at the velodrome once, we were right on the start line. Andy turned to me & whispered that I was not allowed to stroke the riders legs, even if I could reach from where I was sitting
