School Prom Portraits

I love the quality, colour, smiles

My posed portrait photography experience is limited - but her arms look a bit uncomfortable, need some posing

Agree with the above, but just to reiterate, the background and subject colours work really well. Nicely lit too.

Great head and shoulder shots, both of them
but the too static full figure take… no so well!

Loving the soft light, what were you using?

Photogenic child (I said that before). Maybe next time she should be holding her eyePhone or have her prom handbag :) BTW. What happened to the Italian sun glasses? :D

@dancook I tried a couple of different things with her arms but preferred them just hanging, sort of a lesser of two evils as I know it could be improved, thanks for the feedback.

@Moey Thank you

@Kodiak Qc Could you elaborate please, why not so well?

@Michael Batten 120cm octabox

@TLR-330 Not sure about the phone but maybe should of tried the handbag, the sunglasses are where they're staying, in the shop :)

Just to add, the second shot is great. The natural expression, the head and shoulders composition, lighting really works well. :)

I like them all in their own way.
The second full length is very 1930's

I think you did a great job. One day she'll look back and say thanks dad.
Not sure she will say that if he does not get her proper sunglasses.

PS. That goes back to another set of pictures of his daughter. :woot:
