The driver mentioned in the article above has just been sentenced to a 3 year ban, 300 hours of community service, and to pay £11,000 to the victims. He apparently showed no remorse, and believes the jury was prejudiced against him because he is English and drives a Porsche. We have words to describe such people, and they apply to every nationality.

Me and my mate set off tomorrow morning.

We'll only be on part of the NC500 during our week long photo tour, but will still need to watch out for these cockwombles on the road.

I have a mate up at the Hotel opposite the Summer Isles who has reported that the midges had already pretty much subsided

and any way, if the wind's up above 4mph the bu88ers tend to hunker down

now it's the ticks I worry about

I'm in Gairloch now and while there are some midges around they seem to have lost their edge. Compared to the peak of the season the numbers are well down and they don't seem to be as irritating. I think the season is just about over for them.
