Screen Calibration

Looking at the reviews it seems that X-rite / Calibrite seems to get better reviews than Datacolor. I'm considering going s/hand for a calibrator and wondered how old a model it is recommended to consider. Have things improved significantly with time or is it more a software issue not working with later operating systems
Any advice appreciated

Another vote for i1 display pro too, have had Spyder and could not get both monitors to look the same.

Sorry cannot help with the second question.

I had a similar issue with my Spyder 3 - but then I switched to using DisplayCal calibration software in place of the Datacolour software, and this was much better at getting both monitors to match.
DisplayCal is Free/Open Source;

Thank you, I did try displaycal before I purchased the i1 display but had the same result as the datacolour software.
