I'm not sure what the issue is.
You bought the camera for a price you were happy with. It makes no difference to you what other people may have to pay.
It's not like Canon are phoning you up and demanding £150 off you.
There's a certain irony here. You talk about boycotting UK retail yet would have been delighted at getting the camera for £150 less.

....You sound as if you are primarily motivated solely by how little money you can get away with spending on your camera gear and then when you miss out on a deal you bitch and wind yourself up about it.
With an attitude like that the only one suffering is you and it's totally within your control to accept that you missed out on that particular deal and to move on - Get out there and enjoy taking some photos!
