Label peeling off in one corner ! Label has faded aswell ,on serial number on card !

Where did you purchase it from? I got stung with a fake and lost my money last month.
Send the serial to kingston.
load the sd card into your computer, download iozone (www.iozone.org). Assuming you are on a 32bit filesystem, you will be limited to 2gb files per run.
Run with a command line like (assuming d: is the sd card)
d:
iozone -a -g 2g -n 2g
if it completes successfully, you know that the first 2gb are ok. But, a lot of these cards are 2gb made up to look larger.
So, after ~60 seconds of running the test, copy the file, ~13 times. allow the test to complete again, and copy the file once more. This would leave you with 14 copies (~28gb used)
start the test again now. Probability would be that you will now be writting to the end of the card. Should this last test complete without errors, you are probably safe.
