was wondering if any one could help me, i just got a couple of these drives and on the box it points out a lock slot on the back of the drive.does anyone know what this is or what it does ? because i've not got a clue thanks.

You can buy a security system that allows you to 'fix' various bits of PC to your desk, this normally fits into the lock slot bits on hardware.
