Hi guys

Took some images of My English Bulldog who is only 6 months old. I tried my best to get down to his level without him wanting to come and be so playful lol

On one of the images I caught a full running motion which I took at 1/1000 / f8 / ISO 400

the other images I tried Aperture priority mode/manaul mode to get the best shot I could.

I wanted to get him without my wife in the pics but in all fairness he never leaves her side lol

Hope you like, I'm still learning lots.

The third one is bay far the best and certainly worthy of a print. I suspect this is the one taken at 1/1000th?

The others are a little bit soft or suffer from subject movement/camera shake due to being in Aperture mode maybe?

The last one is my second favourite (y)

Yep, the third for me too.

Fantastic looking dog by the way. I've always wanted one and yours looks a a belter. Great poise - slightly fitter looking than some of the overly inbred bat fastards I've seen waddling round the park. Out of interest, is this one of the bulldogs that have had a bit of bull-terrier thrown into the mix, too over come some of the poor health associated with the breed?

Either way, it's still a bit of a lump and a great looking dog.

Thank you :)

Hes a beauty and very healthy, hes sealaville and another blood line but both fantasic blood lines and his dad is a show champion times over and his grandad is also a show champion. People over feed them and they look slobby, they say dont walk them hardly at all for the first 6 months but Frank has a walk 4 times per week and socialises with other dogs great, very very full of character :)

I will break the trend - no,1 is my favourite, although I am looking on my iPad so I can't tell if it isn't sharp. No.3 is good, but I reckon it would have been even better if you had got down to his eye level or lower. I know you said you got low, but you are still looking down on him. For a dog of his stature I would lie full length on the ground (yes, I was doing that yesterday, yes, I got muddy, but it is worth a bit of dampness!).

I'd be pretty happy with #3.

Personally I wouldn't bother taking photos of someone's legs and boots next to the dog, but I guess tastes vary.
