...and it rained!!! Which made it much harder for someone less experienced as myself as most of the group shots were indoors.... thank heavens for the flashgun!

Happy with how it went and I think we coped okay, but a little disappointed I didn't get any really *good* shots. I was hoping for more natural ones, but in a cramped hotel it was hard to mingle and blend in! They were all pretty 'standard' ones really... nothing too creative.

I had my wife to help organise things, and we got all the requested stuff, so I think the couple will be pleased with what we've taken. They appreciated it wasn't ideal circumstances, and were thankful as I was doing it as a bit of a favour. I would have been lovely to have been outdoors and got snappy around the grounds, getting the kids playing etc... ah well.

Most surprisingly though, I mainly used my 18-55 kit lens for the day.... so I think a good replacement to that will be first on my list now!

Yeah, absolutely. Ok, they're not going to get the pro's shaking in their boots, but as long as the couple are pleased then I'm happy!

One day I'll have more equipment to cope better! It wasn't helped though by the hotel not having cleared a room ready for rain, as the wedding co-ordinator had assured me would happen! I think we annoyed a guest after politely asking her if she wouldn't mind vacating... (As the staff still hadn't done it after we reminded them!)

The only downside was that I've lost my Strobist Diffuser... bah.
