Self portrait focusing

Hi, I'm trying to do some self portraits but struggling with focusing on my eyes.

I can get a focus by just moving my face back and forward and when the focus beep sounds I press the shutter.

Here's one I did, no C&C needed as just after focusing guidance , and on reviewing it the focus was on my eyebrow.

Perhaps use a narrower aperture or you could tether your camera to a laptop with the screen facing you and then you could see where the focus box is.

Who says wide-angle lenses don't provide excellent portraits. Top stuff

I've always shot my self portraits at f/8 to give myself some leeway.

I tried that using DIYphotobits but it didn't have a preview screen so unable to see where the focus box was...
