I just got these brushes. Worked a charm on the 1D, I'd had a few stubborn bits which the blower couldn't shift.
Thanks for the link dod, i have now purchased some of those brushes as my sensor is in need of a clean.
I've always found a LensPen SensorKlear to work well. Just use a rocket blower and then the SensorKlear, no preparation necessary, just take off the lid and its ready to go.

Fantastic advice. I got a D3s cleaned by Calumet at £55 but wish I had seen this sooner, seems so simple! Is it safe to use the bristle brush you usually get in lens pens to brush away light dust/dirt?
