Serial number on a 24/3.5 TSE? Can't find one!!

Are the serial numbers on the lens themselves or do I need to go rooting around for the boxes?

I have found the number on my 100/2.8, but the 300/4 doesn't seem to have the same number on the lens as is on the box. The number on the lens has only 6 digits as well (It's not the date code before anyone asks!!)

Please tell me they're on there somewhere as I don't want to go finding the boxes. Also I have a 24 TSE that I bought from a member on here with no box - That doesn't even have a number on it :bonk:

Usually a six digit number at the mount end between where the tripod ring and the lens mount, on the white of the lens in black print.

Excellent, cheers - Any idea where the serial number on the TSE may be? There is nothing on there other than a date code, no other numbers anywhere.

Not shure, have a shuftie on the mount where the contacts are, you may need to look very close as as the numbers are branded into the plastic.

Most 'L' glass numbers are on the outside of the body.
