Hey all,

Going Silverstone for 4 days on Thurs. Its the first time ive been with my DSLR. Im taking my 70-200 f2.8 is and a 2x converter.

What would you suggest as best settings? bearing in mind, last year I used my fuji s100fs on sports mode, pictures were quite good.

Wanted some advice on shutter speed settings, metering settings, ISO speeds etc etc

Not much advice as I don't know Silverstone.. Except don't take the 2x converter. Take a 1.4x one and crop, at least I seem to get better results that way :( And you will have 1 stop more light for shorter shutter speeds and reasonable auto focus.

The 2x KILLS the AF.

Tv shutter priority exposure mode
a user selectable focus point
shutter speed around 1/320 to start with
experiment and enjoy. 50D has plenty of megapixels and I'd prefer to crop a sharp photo than to have some large, but unsharp photos by using the teleconverter. Try both and review during the day.
