Hi All,

I seem to be having trouble with my Agility Shots.

So i was just wondering what Camera settings you all have set-up for Agility.

This is all pretty new to me, so i would guess that i have a setting wrong.

The picture is always cystal clear, but the dogs mainly when jumping are blured.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you need a faster shutter speed, at least 1/500sec as a guess, preferably 1/1000sec or faster. Use a lower f/number, or push the ISO higher, or both depending on the light.

Or try panning - follow the dog as it moves. The dog will be sharp, but the background blurred. Often a nice effect.

I always choose the aperture I want to give the correct depth of field and adjust the ISO to give at least 1/1000.

Thanks Guys.

The dogs are fast.

When i increaes my shutter spead i just got a black blured picture.

Perhaps i need to check my settings

try setting manual, wide open on your lens, shutter speed 1000 and iso auto and see what the camera chooses ?

Personally, i would set to TV set the shutter speed at least to 1/500 as the poster above said, and adjust the f and iso to get the exposure, i would also be shooting on high speed using AI servo
