Hey,

Pretty new around here, so hey!

Usually i do concerts and nightlife work, but im doing a photoshoot with a dj this week, could anyone give me any tips? It's going to be in the city centre so i can go anywhere around there and there is also a park near by that i could go to.

Will be using a Nikon d300 with 17-55 2.8 and a sb-600.

Thanks

er, it's pretty open ended tbh but pic of the dj with the equipment will help and perhaps with his headphones around his neck or box/bag on his shoulder/arm

unless you're in a club though unless you get imaginative with props it's going to be a pretty much standard band type shoot :)

Best way to shoot a DJ is with a 7.65 round - no worries about needing a second shot :D

'fancy going to the cinema tonight' ? 'Dunno, who's the projectionist' ?

You need a theme. You can go for the tried and tested headphones, record bag affair or be more imaginative.

What you trying to do, what look you going for?

Are they photogenic/good looking?

Here's some inspiration : http://www.flickr.com/search/groups/?q=dj&w=71917374@N00&m=pool

Cheers, ill have a look through Flickr and see if i can get some ideas. The dj is quite a big guy so not really the most photogenic

Ive asked him to bring headphones and ill throw those into a few shots.
